Grace International Exchange is a cultural exchange and academic recruiting agency located in the Dominican Republic. It was officially founded by Luis Daniel Matias, a former cultural exchange student and educator in 2021. We currently work with a variety of both academic and Bridge USA J1 programs such as the Summer Work / and Travel; Camp Counselor; Intern/Trainee; Teach USA; Spain Work and Travel and Internship and Associate programs in Canada. We currently partner with outstanding sponsors and academic institutions like CIEE, Intrax, Green heart Exchange; Alliance Abroad Group; Dynamic Global Exchange; ACES and Alexander College.

1. What excites you the most about sending students to participate in Summer Work and Travel programs?

Sending students to the USA is definitely one of the most rewarding things we can experience! When one of them has the opportunity to travel to the USA for the first time, experiencing American culture, improving their language and teaching theirs, it is one of the most beautiful things we can experience. Being part of that dream to be fulfilled makes us not only excited but also proud of our mission to contribute to the well being of our young citizens.

2. What sets you and your business apart from its competitors?

Transparency and confidence are at the core of our business. When students approach us, those are the values they will experience. We are committed to offering an excellent service by always responding to their concerns, orientating them and supporting them throughout the process.

3. What kind of support do you offer participants before, during and after their trip?

The main source of our support to the J-1 community has been our CEO’s YouTube channel. It is a space designed to orientate and educate Summer Work and Travel participants. Also, we ensure personalized communication with our students.

4. How do you ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants while they are working and travelling abroad?

We conduct in-person pre-departure orientation. This is designed to inform participants about the important ‘do’s and don’ts’ while participating in the program. The orientation aims to prevent events that affect their wellbeing and safety during the program. Together with our sponsors, we also provide help and assistance while our students are in the U.S.A.
