On 1 December 2023, Viajero Hostels opened in Huacachina, Perú, welcoming all Viajeros – travellers – from around the world.
A member of WYSE Travel Confederation, Viajero Hostels is the renowned Latin-American hostel chain, with destinations in seven countries and more than 20 cities. Viajero has a Latin DNA that offers not only a high-quality product and dedicated design in each destination but, more importantly, a focus on experiences and activities to boost connections between guests. With an investment of more than one million dollars, Viajero Huacachina is the fourth hostel the company has in Perú, after Lima, Cusco and Paracas.
Viajero Huacachina is the largest and most modern hostel in the desert area, with an open-door pool, restaurant and bar with local food options, and a spectacular 360 degree view of the dunes.
“We are very proud and happy to open our fourth hostel in Perú; we’ve had great results in our hostels in Lima, Paracas and Cusco and we plan to open a few more locations in the country in the next two years: Arequipa, Macchu Picchu and Máncora. We invite all travellers from around the globe to visit the spectacular Huacachina desert, a destination full of magic and adventure,” said Alejandro Osorio, CEO at Viajero Hostels.
Viajero Huacachina has both private accommodations and dorms, including dorms exclusively for female travellers. The hostel has a variety of activities designed to entertain guests and encourage connection: adventure tours, karaoke nights, live music shows, DJs, dance, gastronomy and cocktail lessons, among others.
With this new opening, Viajero Hostels looks to strengthen its position in the Peruvian market and foster collaboration with the local community, adding to the sustainable development of the region and offering unique experiences to its guests.
