Academic Language Solutions, of New Hampshire (USA) and London (UK), is pleased to announce that its Chairman, Kevin Morgan, has been named as Chairman of the US-Vietnam Business Council. The San Jose, California-based non-profit Council provides business development services to small and medium-sized enterprises that are interested in developing business between the US and Vietnam.

Morgan has been involved in promoting cultural exchange programs in Vietnam since the mid-1990’s. He has spoken at various Vietnamese universities on the value of intercultural communication and cultural exchange and is currently organizing exchanges through Vietnam National University in Hanoi.

Founded in 1995 by a group of volunteers with extensive experience in doing business in Vietnam, the US-Vietnam Business Council is well known for organizing trade missions to Vietnam to introduce American business leaders to their Vietnamese counterparts. With a focus on agriculture, educational/cultural exchange, manufacturing, hi-tech and import/export, the Council works to promote mutual respect and understanding between the peoples of Vietnam and the US through various art, educational and cultural projects, including a major upcoming US-Vietnam Business and Cultural Forum in San Francisco this coming September.

Mr. Trung Trinh, the founder of the Council, said, “We are pleased to have Mr. Morgan heading up our board.  He is a pioneer in creating opportunities for people of different backgrounds to share their cultures through programs around the world, and that sharing of cultures is what drives all the relationships we set up through the Council.” Morgan said he believes “the time is right for trade, investment, and training to grow in Vietnam. The Council is positioned to ideally facilitate activities that take advantage of the human and physical resources of this key Southeast Asian country.”
