“Keep talking and listening to young people”: JENZA at WYSTC 2023
WYSE News | September 15, 2023

Day one of the World Youth and Student Travel Conference (WYSTC) saw the arrival of four of JENZA‘s Youth Advisory Panel (YAP): Adithi, Ydis, Aoife and Samia. Forming part of the panel of 17-26 year olds who have been integral to shaping JENZA as a business, the four were excited to help represent the ‘youth’ and ‘student’ in WYSTC 2023 and for delegates to benefit from the insights that have been so valuable to the JENZA team over the past 12 months.

Gen Z panel discussion

At Wednesday’s panel discussion, ‘What do Gen Z want?’, JENZA CEO Vicki Cunningham was joined by the YAP in an open and frank conversation about the challenges facing young people today and what they look for from brands in their decision-making. Audience engagement was high and feedback after the session was strong. Youth Advisory Panellist, Samia, said: “It felt great to have our voices heard. From an idea to a reality, WYSTC felt like the culmination of a year working with JENZA.”

YAP @ The Gen Z Den

The Gen Z Den: big, yellow and powered by “the best sweets at the conference”. The YAP have spent the last two days hosting sit down sessions at the Gen Z Den in the centre of the conference hall. They have shared their thoughts and opinions on everything from marketing campaigns to tax support. YAP Panellist Adithi said of the Gen Z Den: “The conference made it clear that the world is willing to listen to the youth. And that makes me feel even more eager for opportunities as a global citizen.”
