Culture Trip’s Chief Executive Officer steps down

Aug 26, 2020

Founder of Culture Trip, Dr Kris Naudts has confirmed that he is stepping down from his role as Chief Executive after leading the organisation for nine years. Didier Stoessel has been appointed as the new Chief Executive.

Naudts, who founded Culture Trip, the experiential travel start-up in 2009 has announced that he will no longer serve as Chief Executive. This decision was taken for Naudts to focus on his role as Chairman, guiding Culture Trips’ wider strategy, external relations and corporate governance.

Didier Stoessel will lead the organisation as the new Chief Executive. Stoessel has experience across digital entertainment and financial industries, formerly working for HSBC Investment Bank, Modern Times Group and Merrill Lynch International London. “I am very happy to be joining Culture Trip in London and working with this talented team, half of which are engineers and scientists. This shows how much tech is at the core of the company and together with a unique curated offering of travel experiences, we can stand out in the online travel market,” said Stoessel.

“I am looking forward to focusing on my role as Chairman after having led Culture Trip for nine years in which we have seen significant growth. With Didier as our new CEO, we are very well positioned to be at the forefront of the transformation our industry is experiencing,” commented Naudts.

The shift in leadership comes as Culture Trip has renewed its streams of funding to drive the organisation’s development as a tech-driven online travel and experience company. Culture Trip uses technology creatively to capture its customers and provide an outstanding user experience throughout the entire customer journey.
