Clink Hostels acquires Amsterdam hostel chain
Clink is really excited about the opportunity given their innovative hostel approach and the similarities with Clink’s Vision – wanting to make a difference by sparking the imagination of those who love travelling and engaging in new experiences.
Clink’s CEO, Mark Fenelon, says ‘’the acquisition is a natural step for Clink Hostels to further build our brand and presence in the amazing travel destination city of Amsterdam where already we have in-depth commercial and operational market knowledge and the city’s top-rated hostel, ClinkNOORD.
In addition, the acquisition opens up opportunities for Clink in other cities for a new mid-sized hospitality offering, focused on socially conscious travellers, bringing together the best of the traditional hostel connections, great fun and memories in a more intimate & modern accommodation setting.
This is part of executing the Clink growth plan to treble in size across Europe growing rapidly through organic, lease and acquisition lead growth – with current large scale hostel freehold projects currently under development in both Dublin and Lisbon this brings the Clink Hostel group to 7 hostels across Europe with additional hostels in the property pipeline to follow.
Clink Hostels’ is Europe’s 7th largest hostel chain and is one of the original breed of modern hostels, operating very successful large scale hostels in central locations of London (Clink78, Clink261) and Amsterdam (ClinkNOORD).
