The Forum on Education Abroad will review recent research on how study abroad experiences impact language learning and explore existing data on study abroad’s positive influence on post-college career opportunities. During this session, Amelia Dietrich, PhD, Director for Research and Resources at The Forum on Education Abroad, will also share information about a brand new research study “Careers of Language Study Abroad Alumni: A Comprehensive Investigation” and explain how senders and receivers of US participants can potentially get involved with the project.

The Forum on Education Abroad

Amelia Dietrich is the Director for Research and Resources at The Forum on Education Abroad and Interim Editor of Frontiers: The Interdisciplinary Journal of Study Abroad. Prior to joining The Forum, she completed her Ph.D. in Spanish and Language Science at The Pennsylvania State University. At The Forum, Dr. Dietrich develops resources to support high-quality study abroad programming and leads data collection and reporting efforts. She is a Certified Professional in Education Abroad.
