WYSE Travel Confederation itself does not provide travel opportunities to young people, but rather advocates on behalf of the industry to governments and industry bodies.

Student Members

If you are a student looking for research on the Youth Travel industry to help you with your studies you can join WYSE Travel Confederation to gain access to our research publications. Students are eligible for this one-year membership with proof of their University enrolment.

Facts & Stats

Youth travel (15 to 29) has become one of the fastest growing segments of international tourism, representing more than 23% of the over one billion tourists travelling internationally each year.

Based on UNWTO forecasts for global tourism growth, we can estimate that by 2020 almost 370 million youth travellers will account for a total spend of over USD 400 billion.

Code of Conduct

All members of WYSE Travel Confederation have signed up to its Code of Conduct which outlines the professional standards that they must meet. Our Code of Conduct stipulates that members must act ethically and responsibly towards you, the consumer, respecting the principles of democracy, freedom, human rights, respect for the environment and cultural diversity, and non-discrimination on the basis of any race, religion, ethnicity, sex or political creed.

UNWTO Sustainable Development Goals

WYSE Travel Confederation is fully committed to the UNWTO Sustainable Development Goals. Tourism has enriched the lives of many. It has contributed to their growth and welfare in their environments. Working in line with the Sustainable Development goals, Tourism has greatly improved and is being conserved for future contribution to the economy.
These Goals have created a vision for transformation; we can imagine a world where Tourism can bring Universal Peace and Growth. The key focus being Sustainability which by definition means. Sustainable tourism is defined as “tourism that respects both local people and the traveler, cultural heritage and the environment”. In the context of the universal 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the International Year aims to support a change in policies, business practices and consumer behaviour towards a more sustainable tourism sector than can contribute to the SDGs.
