Edu Africa – Best Education Abroad Provider 2019

Oct 22, 2019

Utilising their network around East and Southern Africa, Edu Africa provides transformative learning journeys across 13 countries. Each student that participates in the programme has a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop through cross-cultural engagement.

Custom-made programmes challenge students’ understanding of local cultures and world views by providing opportunities across a variety of subjects, from collaborating with local artists on art and performance programmes to working with urban communities on water conservation. Edu Africa aims to encourage student development in:

  • Intercultural competence
  • Global citizenship
  • Personal and intellectual growth
  • Professional development

There is a lot of emphasis on student development, with EDU Africa using self-reflection to ensure students grow as global citizens, personally, inter-culturally and professionally.

“At the beginning of the four week course, most of us quietly giggled at the ‘transformative learning experience’ that EDU Africa claims in their syllabus to provide…Jokes on me- at the end of the four weeks I am left holding an altered worldview, a deeper sense of self, and a stronger sense of purpose. EDU Africa facilitated a course more meaningful than I ever could have expected.”
