New Horizons is the only recurring global survey of the youth travel market. Since its first iteration in 2002, New Horizons has expanded in both scale and scope, going from 2,300 responses in 2002 to 34,000 in 2012.
Having surveyed more 34,000 young travellers from 137 countries, New Horizons III is the industry’s most expansive view on the youth traveller. Youth travel is increasingly a state of mind rather than merely an age category and this report sheds light on how travel motivations and styles, as well as the popularity of various activities, experiences and destinations are changing.
