The English as a Foreign Language (EFL) sector in South Africa has seen challenging times since regulatory changes were implemented by the government in May 2014. Johannes Kraus, Chairperson of EduSA, the national association of quality English language centres in South Africa, and Founder of Kurus English, will discuss recent developments and share EduSA statistics indicating the impact that regulatory changes have had on the sector.

 Biography

 Johannes Kraus is the Chairperson of EduSA, the national association of quality English language centres in South Africa, and has held this post since October 2014. He is the founder and owner of Kurus English, a language school in Cape Town which has been operating since 2008. Johannes is originally from Germany and has been living, studying and working in South Africa since 2006.
