STAY WYSE Hostel Research Update

Patrick Mayock, STR | David Chapman, WYSE Travel Confederation

STAY WYSE 2018
A historic run of high demand has boosted performance across most accommodation types, but will the good times last forever? In this data-driven session, Patrick Mayock of benchmarking provider STR will explore trends in hostel performance metrics, including occupancy, average bed rate, and revenue utilisation per square metre. Additional context will be provided via comparative data from other accommodation types, including hotels. WYSE Travel Confederation’s David Chapman will provide an update on accommodation-related research findings from the recent global survey of more than 57,000 youth and student travellers, New Horizons.
