Membership Services Administrator

Job description

WYSE Travel Confederation is a membership association with over 400 active member organisations and over 2000 member contacts.

We are looking for an IT or CRM literate person to take over the running of the membership administration and development and to work closely with the Business Development Manager and Sector Managers to grow membership levels.

You will be an organised self-starter, confident in talking to all levels of management within our membership. You will be a great communicator, happy to speak to members seeking industry insights, event registration, or information for making the most of their membership benefits.

You will have experience of working with a CRM system and of keeping the records straight and clean. You could even be a bit obsessive about this!

Your Responsibilities

  • Take over the full administration and management of the Confederations membership
  • Maintain accurate and up to date membership records and reports
  • Provide a membership report on a monthly basis to both management and the Board
  • Liaise with all members on a regular basis by phone, email, newsletter or in person, as may be applicable, to engage them into the association
  • To work with the sales department to convert new leads
  • To reduce churn of members by stopping members from resigning through communication
  • To develop a range of external member benefits e.g insurance offers, accommodation offers etc.
  • Look for new membership opportunities and new membership types
  • Work with the Marketing department on liaisons with members
  • Work with the Events department on event sales to members
  • Attend relevant conferences and local networking events where required
  • Provide a point of reference to members for their questions

Key skills and attributes

Required

  • High level of fluency in written and spoken English
  • A university degree / HBO diploma
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Capacity to learn software programmes for data management
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to take initiative to improve work processes
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability to work within a team atmosphere
  • Ability to multitask and work under time pressure
  • Experience with database systems and a good working knowledge of web-based applications.

Desirable

  • Experience with the global student and youth travel industry
  • Knowledge of other languages
