Harry Douglas, a consultant with the global hotel real estate and management consultancy HVS, will discuss case studies in the hotel, hostel and serviced-apartment markets and highlight the key factors that define the attractiveness of the opportunities.

Harry Douglass is a member of the Consulting and Valuation division at HVS, a hospitality consulting firm and respected global authority on hotel transactions and market research. Harry joined HVS London in 2012 following activity in the UK leisure property sector. He holds an MSc in Real Estate Management and qualified as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) in 2006.

The London office of HVS carries out assignments across Europe the Middle East & Africa (EMEA), comprising feasibility studies and loan security valuations for investors and lenders in new and existing markets. Recent projects have involved investment and development appraisals for a range of hostels and hybrid hotels as well as bespoke assignments on the impact of online travel agencies.
