WYSE Travel Confederation Panel and Management Board elections
Over the last 28 months, with the world being turned upside-down, the challenges of running businesses in a pandemic have also reached deeply into the heart of associations the world over. Like many other associations, WYSE Travel Confederation has seen a large drop off in membership, with many companies prioritising their funds into essential services whilst others have, regrettably, ceased to exist.
This has posed a challenge to WYSE Travel Confederation in a number of ways, from the obvious reduction in membership income to the less obvious challenge of maintaining Board and Panel numbers to their requirements set out in our statutes.
Board and panel roles for 2022 are currently:
Management Board – 1 seat from the Study Abroad Panel
Accommodation Panel – 1 general seat
Cultural Exchange Panel – 2 general seats
Study Abroad Panel – 4 general seats and 1 chairperson
Travel Safety Panel – 1 general seat
The Nominations Committee met on Tuesday, 16 November 2021 and the following candidates have been selected for positions on the Accommodation, Cultural Exchange and Travel Safety panels. Please click on the below links to view the candidates.
Regrettably, no members have put themselves forward for the Study Abroad panel and as a result the election of a panel for this market segment has been postponed until the summer of 2022.
The next stage of the election process is for members to ratify the slate of members proposed by the Nominations Committee, please review the profiles of the candidates in readiness for the meeting.
If you do not agree with the candidates proposed, then please follow the procedure set out in the Rules and Regulations, section 4.1.
