The 2018 Extraordinary Experience award serves to remind us of the core values of our industry: providing positive, rewarding and memorable experiences that young people can carry into the future.
Examples might include a young person who, through your programme, has volunteered or worked in the developing world, climbed the Himalayas, learnt an exotic language or engaged in a valuable way with another culture.
The judging panel evaluates submissions based on the following criteria:
- What did the individual put into their experience and what did they gain
- Original and inspiring story
- Tangible engagement with the host culture
Open to all organisations working in the youth and student travel industry.
An organisation can submit multiple entries for the award.
Entries must be in English.
All entries must be submitted by Tuesday, 31 July 2018 at 23:59 CET.
WYSE Travel Confederation will shortlist a maximum of five entries per category, by reviewing the information provided on the application forms.
A panel of judges, all of whom are industry experts, will assess shortlisted applications and score each one based on the established judging criteria. The highest scoring application will be the winner.
Judges are asked to declare any business connection with shortlisted organisations.
