Best Travel Safety Initiative
Despite terrorism and political unrest, young people resiliently keep on travelling. Considering the unsettled times in which we are living, it is important for organisations operating in the youth travel industry to take a step further in preparing travellers before their journey and guaranteeing their safety and security when abroad.
The 2018 Best Travel Safety Initiative Award looks to recognise those organisations that proactively seek to keep their customers safe, whether it be through implementation of best practices, toolkits or risk management plans or the creation of preparatory educating tools (such as seminars, workshops or online platforms).
The panel of judges will evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:
- Aims/objectives of the safety plan/strategy
- Overall implementation of the plan and strategy
- Effectiveness of the plan/strategy on measurable results
Open to all industry organisations working in the youth and student travel industry.
An organisation can submit multiple entries for the award.
Entries must be in English.
All entries must be submitted by Tuesday, 31 July 2018 at 23:59 CET.
WYSE Travel Confederation will shortlist a maximum of five entries per category, by reviewing the information provided on the application forms.
A panel of judges, all of whom are industry experts, will assess shortlisted applications and score each one based on the established judging criteria. The highest scoring application will be the winner.
Judges are asked to declare any business connection with shortlisted organisations.
