The Global Youth Travel Award for Best Sustainable Organisation recognises organisations that promote youth travel while following eco-friendly practices and making responsible contributions to local communities through innovative projects.

We are looking for an inspiring organisation that has adopted change in its policies and business practices, or redirects consumer behaviour towards a more responsible and sustainable approach.

Examples might include community-based eco-tours, carbon-neutral activities, support of social inclusion or conservation projects or adoption of sustainable business practices.

The panel of judges will evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:

• Environmental impact
• Humanitarian intent and impact
• Tangible positive outcomes
• Local community engagement
• Influence on consumer behaviour
• Long-term impact

Open to all sustainable youth, student and educational tour operators.

Organisation may submit multiple entries for the award.

Entries must be in English.

All entries must be submitted by Friday, 6 September 2019 at 23:59 CEST.

WYSE Travel Confederation will shortlist a maximum of five entries per category, by reviewing the information submitted with the application forms.

A panel of judges, all of whom are industry experts, will assess shortlisted applications and score each entrant based on the established judging criteria. The highest scoring application will be the winner.

Judges are asked to declare any business connection with shortlisted organisations.
