Welcome to our new member – Work It
WYSE News | June 18, 2026

Work It S.A. is an Ecuador-based international mobility organisation specialised in cultural exchange programmes, primarily the Summer Work Travel (J1) program in the United States. Since 2022, it has consistently grown its operations, placing over 350 participants annually, with a strong focus on early-stage recruitment, structured screening, and high-quality participant preparation.

How and when did the company get started – what was the motivation to begin the company?

Work It was founded in Ecuador in 2022 with the mission of making international cultural exchange opportunities more accessible to students across Latin America.

The company was created after identifying a growing demand for high-quality Work & Travel and international mobility programmes, combined with a need for stronger participant preparation, transparent guidance, and long-term support. Our goal has always been to help students not only travel abroad, but also develop professionally, improve their language skills, and gain meaningful international experience.

Since launching, Work It has grown from fewer than 200 participants in its first year to more than 500 annual participants and has recently begun expanding its operations into Chile as part of its broader Latin American growth strategy.

What do you consider unique about your company compared to others offering similar programmes and services?

We combine participant recruitment, preparation, compliance, and ongoing support through a highly structured and data-driven approach.

What makes Work It different is our strong focus on participant education before departure. We invest heavily in interview preparation, cultural orientation, visa guidance, and employer matching to ensure students arrive well-prepared for their experience abroad.

We also place significant emphasis on compliance and ethical programme management. Our objective is not simply to send participants overseas, but to contribute positively to the cultural exchange ecosystem and to build long-term trust with students, sponsors, employers, and international partners.

What is a trend in the marketplace that you are currently enthusiastic about?

We are particularly excited about the increasing professionalisation of participant preparation and support within the international mobility sector.

Students today are seeking more than a temporary travel experience; they are looking for opportunities that contribute to their personal development, employability, language skills, and global perspective. We believe organisations that focus on education, participant outcomes, and long-term value creation will be best positioned for future growth.

We are also encouraged by the growing collaboration between organisations across different regions, creating new opportunities for knowledge sharing and innovation.

What is a challenge in your business that you are actively working to address?

One of our main challenges is expanding access to international programmes beyond major cities and reaching students who may not traditionally consider participating.

Latin America has tremendous potential, but there are still barriers related to awareness, affordability, and access to reliable information. We continue investing in digital systems, outreach initiatives, and participant education to make these opportunities more accessible while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

What do you look forward to as a member of WYSE Travel Confederation?

We are excited to become part of a global community that shares a commitment to meaningful international experiences for young people.

As a WYSE Travel Confederation member, we look forward to building relationships with organisations from around the world, learning from industry leaders, sharing experiences from the Latin American market, and contributing to discussions that help strengthen the youth travel and cultural exchange sector.

Will we meet your company at WYSTC Bilbao? What types of companies and industry contacts are you interested to meet there? What would you like to learn from the international youth travel community? What do you think you can help others in the community to learn?

Yes, Work It will be attending WYSTC Bilbao 2026.

We are particularly interested in meeting exchange organisations, sponsors, language schools, internship providers, cultural exchange operators, and organisations seeking to expand their presence in Latin America.

We hope to learn how companies in different regions are adapting to changing participant expectations, improving operational efficiency, and creating high-quality programme experiences.

At the same time, we believe we can contribute valuable insights regarding participant recruitment in Latin America, early-season recruitment strategies, interview preparation systems, and the opportunities and challenges associated with developing emerging cultural exchange markets in the region.

Any news or special updates you’d like to share?

2026 has been an exciting year for Work It. We recently became a member of WYSE Travel Confederation and are preparing to attend WYSTC Bilbao for the first time.

We are also expanding our international partnerships and programme portfolio while continuing to grow our participant base across Ecuador. As part of our regional growth strategy, we have recently established operations in Chile and are actively exploring opportunities to expand access to international exchange programmes across Latin America.

We look forward to connecting with fellow WYSE members and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.
