WYSE News | March 25, 2026

During the International Au Pair Association (IAPA) Annual General Meeting held on 18 March 2026 at WETM-IAC in Sofia, Bulgaria, IAPA announced the election of Jean Quinn, Senior Vice President of AIFS / Au Pair in America (USA), as its new Chair. Quinn succeeds Michael McHugh of InterExchange (USA) following his three-year tenure.

Bringing over 30 years of experience in the au pair sector, Quinn steps into the role with a strong commitment to cultural exchange and international understanding. Her own journey spans a high school exchange in France, teaching in London, and a Master’s degree in Intercultural Management, alongside board experience with the Alliance for International Exchange.

Having also hosted au pairs herself, Quinn brings a personal perspective to the role, shaped by first-hand experience of the programme’s impact. Speaking at WETM, she highlighted the growing importance of advocacy, noting that IAPA’s work remains “extremely relevant, engaging, and personal,” with each member organisation shaping the lives of young people worldwide.
