What inspired you to start Stockholm Adventures, and what makes your tours unique?

When I travel, I am always interested in seeing the city from an authentic, local, fun, and inspiring perspective. That inspired me to start Stockholm Adventures, to not only meet people from all over the world, but also share with them the love I have for my hometown Stockholm and all the amazing and unique adventures that you can do in and around the city such as Ice Skating in the Winter and Biking and Kayaking in the summer..

What types of travellers or groups benefit most from your adventure experiences?

Stockholm Adventures offers tours and activities for all types of travellers who would like to discover the city doing something active, but without any required experience (beyond knowing how to ride a bike for a bike tour). We cater to school groups and incentive groups, but also FITs (free independent travellers), such as families, couples, or single travellers. We offer private tours where we can adjust the starting times and place as well as personalise the routes, as well as multiple scheduled group tour departures.

Can you tell us more about your most popular tours and what participants can expect?

The winter is all about ice skating on natural ice. We offer ice skating tours for all abilities between the end of December and the middle of March, and we provide you with all equipment needed, lunch, and an experienced guide for an unforgettable experience. In the summer our most popular tours are our bike tours, the best thing to get the bearings of the city, and our kayak tours in the city or in the archipelago. The combo city bike tour and archipelago kayak tour are all you need to get a good grasp about Stockholm and its archipelago and nature.

Are there any new tours or experiences you’re planning to introduce soon?

We are always working on new ideas. For this following summer, we are planning to offer a new scheduled group hiking tour multiple times a week where we will explore the Stockholm nature and have a lunch outdoors. We are also working on expanding our Stockholm Archipelago offer with more overnight tour’ options to include more kayaking, boat tours, and hiking in the newly founded Archipelago National Park.

Where do you see Stockholm Adventures in the next five years?

Our goal is to prolong the seasons as much as possible, especially the summer season. And offer both more departures on the popular tours that we are already doing and new tours and adventures while keeping having fun in the process. Our goal is to show the beauties of Stockholm to as many people as possible. And who knows, maybe at some point we will offer similar tours in another city or country with the same philosophy of local, fun, and inspiring knowledge!
