The Cultural Exchange Project’s TEFL Plus awarded full accreditation
WYSE News | January 30, 2025

The Cultural Exchange Project is pleased to announce that its TEFL PLUS course to train prospective English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers has received full, international accreditation. This certification means that trained teachers who have successfully completed the 120-hour course can apply for positions at schools and language academies around the world. This recognition will open doors to the best paying teaching jobs globally.

The accreditation is awarded by Accreditat, an international organization who examine the curriculum of English Language Teaching (ELT) courses to determine if they meet the strict standards necessary to present a superior teaching experience that will be recognized around the world by the best English language schools and programs.

In recognizing the TEFL PLUS certificate course, Accreditat referred to it as an “innovative, practical and high-quality Advanced 120 hour TEFL Plus Course”. The curriculum features 14 instructional modules with a focus on real-world teaching scenarios and personalized learning. Kevin Morgan, Chairman of The Cultural Exchange Project says that “each module includes engaging videos, insightful texts, and hands-on assignments that will prepare teachers to inspire students and make a lasting impact. Our course blends theory with practical applications, ensuring our teachers gain the skills needed to excel in any classroom.”

The course is referred to as “a new and better TEFL certificate course”. “What sets us apart from other available courses is that every module is influenced by the educational philosophies of Renzulli Learning”, according to Randy LeGrant, Executive Director of The Cultural Exchange Project. “Renzulli Learning is known worldwide for creating experiences tailored to each student’s interests and learning styles … strength-based instruction, project-based learning, 21st century scholarship. The principles of this teaching philosophy were developed by Drs. Joseph Renzulli and Sally Reis, renowned gifted education experts at the University of Connecticut.”

Candidates who finish the 120-hour course receive both an accreditation certificate from Accreditat, and an additional certificate from the University of Connecticut. The Cultural Exchange Project also provides assistance to its teachers in finding jobs around the world .
