We organise high-quality private tours and experiences so that you can explore the city in an exclusive way. We can also organise slightly bigger group tours. We stay in close contact with you to ensure that your personal experience will be unforgettable. Our team of guides is highly experienced, professional, and local, adding a unique and personal touch to your visit to Amsterdam. They are friendly and knowledgeable guides who will make you feel part of the city. Our ever-expanding team of guides is an eclectic group of people, each with his/her own style. All our tours and group experience guides are English-speaking. Tours can also be held in Spanish, German, and French.
To add to this above, can you elaborate a little more on who you are and how Amsterdam Experiences started?
Amsterdam Experiences started in 2018 when our owner, Stephan, started to show friends and his Airbnb guests around Amsterdam. He quickly realised that guiding was more fun than being stuck at a desk. We now have 30+ guides and offer tours and experiences throughout the Netherlands. Our tours are personalised to the individual or group requirements and hidden gems and surprises. From walking tours to art tours, bike tours to driving tours, history tours to ghost tours, we just love to share the history and culture of the Netherlands.
What sets your private tours apart from other tour companies in Amsterdam in terms of personalisation and exclusivity?
No two tours will ever be the same, as each depends upon the guides and guests that are taking the tours. Each of our guides adds their own personality and flavour to the tour and tailors the experience to the wishes of the guests. We can provide group tours for educational, youth and adult groups, from 10 people upwards. No group size is too large (max 15 people per guide as per Amsterdam rules), and there is no limit to the number of guides that we can assign to groups.
We take pride in tailoring our group tours to any specific curriculum, educational or life learning goals that establishments may require. It is also possible to combine tours together to make bespoke, unique tours for particular groups. We have a variety of guides with a wealth of different experiences and who speak different languages, including English, Dutch, Spanish, German and French.
What are some of the most popular tours or experiences that travellers can enjoy, and what makes them special?
- Anne Frank’s Last Walk Tour—this is a very unique and touching tour that retraces the last part of the walk Anne and her family took to the hiding place. At the end of the tour, you get to enter the house via our ‘virtual reality’ experience.
- Urban Adventure Bike Tour: takes you around the west and north of the city to places off the regular tourist trail. You discover the old industrial and shipyard areas. During the tour, you get to try out magnet fishing in the canals and make your own piece of graffiti.
What steps do you take to stay in close contact with your clients before, during, and after their tours to ensure a seamless and unforgettable experience?
Our team is on hand to answer any questions you may have throughout the process. We believe in a human touch, so no automated messages or call centres. Just a named, local person who you can contact via phone, email, or WhatsApp.
Do you have any extra news or updates you can highlight?
We regularly add new tours to our tour menu. We now have a craft beer tour and, for the dark nights, a spooky ghost tour! We also have walking, biking, history, food, driving (exploring outside of Amsterdam), museum and a whole lot more tours that we can offer to groups large or small.
