Equestplus is a boutique educational consultancy based in Ireland who specialises in arranging internships and study programmes. We assist international students who wish to develop their skills and broaden their horizons through study/work placements in professional host organisations in Ireland. We develop programmes specific to students’ goals and requirements and can also include English language courses, cultural visits, transfers, and accommodation to suit students needs.

We offer a high level of personal service and offer advice, assistance, and support from initial inquiry until students complete their programme. We offer placements in all sectors and have a strong network of host organisations throughout Ireland, which allows students to enjoy a complete immersive experience of Irish culture.

Can you elaborate a little more on who you are and how Equestplus started ?

My name is Karen, the owner/director of EquestPlus and I have a strong background in dealing with international students from many years working in our family company, INTERNSPLUS. This enabled me to gain valuable experience dealing with international students, travelling internationally, meeting partners interested in education, future training , career guidance, and internships. My passion is helping young people on their career path and seeing them benefit from the experience we can provide. I decided in 2023 to branch out and open EquestPlus and provide internship opportunities all over Ireland.

What sets Equestplus apart from other educational consultancies in terms of personalised service and support?

As a boutique agency, we can provide a personalised one-on-one service. We tailor each student’s programme specifically to their career goals, learning outcomes, and expectations. As part of our programmes we offer 24/7 support, maintain regular contact, and final evaluation.

How do you ensure that international students have an immersive cultural experience while in Ireland?

We encourage all our programme participants to take part in weekend tours and experience the beautiful scenery in Ireland. As a student agency, we work with all the major tour companies in Ireland and can organise these tours at discounted rates, which we pass on directly to the students. We also advise the students of cultural activities, ie. museums, galleries, etc., which they can visit free of charge.

How does Equestplus maintain strong relationships with host organisations to ensure high-quality placements for students?

We have an extensive database of host organisations/companies that we work with on a regular basis. Many of them feature our internship programme on their social media pages. Host organisations/companies can contact us at any time if there is ever a situation that they need our advice or support on. All our participants complete a feedback form about their internship at the end of the programme. This provides us with a valuable insight into the quality of the internship and allows us to be selective when placing further interns in that specific role.

Do you have future plans or developments to expand or enhance the services you offer to international students?

For 2025, we hope to expand our internship sectors and offer them nationwide.
