WETAG is a cultural exchange agency headquartered in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Our mission is to enrich participants’ lives through immersive overseas experiences that connect them with different cultures. With over 15 years of experience, we specialise in facilitating programmes that enable participants to study abroad, engage in professional internships, or pursue seasonal employment opportunities.

We are committed to delivering exceptional human-centred service and streamlining processes by investing in our staff, technology, marketing, and communications.

1. Can you elaborate a little more on who you are and how WETAG started ?

After participating in this cultural experience ourselves, we founded WETAG in 2008, firmly convinced of the significant value such experiences bring to both participants and society. Since then, we have collaborated with numerous partners and assembled a team of over 10 dedicated professionals. Our team is passionate about transforming lives through diverse exchange programmes, each with distinct goals and available in various destinations.

2. How do you ensure the safety and well-being of participants while they are working and traveling abroad?

WETAG is not merely about trip preparation. We accompany our participants throughout their entire experience by regularly reaching out to ensure they are having the best possible time. Staying in close contact with our clients allows us to identify and address any issues early on, providing necessary assistance to keep their experience on track. Our technology also supports participants by providing easy access to essential information, such as emergency contacts and insurance-related documents.

3. What excites you the most about sending students to participate in Summer Work & Travel Program in the US?

Our years of experience in the industry with sending over 2,000 participants have demonstrated that these experiences help young adults gain a better understanding of the challenges they will face after post-secondary studies. Travelling and living independently, collaborating with others, contributing as team members, and solving problems enable our students to embark on their personal journeys with confidence and the skills necessary for success.

4. You have been in business for a few years now. How have you had to adapt to changing travel trends to stay relevant in the youth travel industry?

Understanding generational changes is one of the most important aspects to consider. As the environment evolves, so do our customers, necessitating a different type of service and a focus on various aspects of the experience. Marketing and communications must also adapt to connect with and attract young adults through their preferred channels and interests.
On the other hand, maintaining authenticity, even as a brand, remains one of the best strategies for long-term success.

5. What sets you and your business apart from its competitors?

We always try to exceed expectations and interact with our participants in new and innovative ways.

Technology is integral to everything we do, and we strive to make the application process as simple and error-free as possible. However, we also prioritise providing exceptional human support, ensuring quick responses and accessibility with a single click.

Furthermore, we nurture our team by fostering high levels of service, empathy, and creative thinking. We provide them with the necessary support and resources to ensure that our customer experience is truly valuable.
