Natucate combines “nature” and “educate,” reflecting our goal to merge nature conservation with education. We offer wilderness experiences, internships, and volunteer opportunities focused on protecting the environment and wildlife. Participants actively contribute to preserving natural areas and endangered species while expanding their personal horizons. Our expertise includes ecotourism, adventure travel, and organising nature-focused sabbaticals that promote personal and environmental development.
Committed to high standards, Natucate avoids projects involving children’s aid and non-government sanctioned animal breeding due to quality assurance challenges. As the first German operator endorsed by the Campaign Against Canned Hunting (CACH), we support efforts to ban captive lion breeding for hunting. We believe in the power of combining meaningful activities, nature experiences, and outdoor adventures for effective education and personal growth. Our services cater to adventure seekers interested in conservation, offering various options from short getaways to long-term breaks.
1. Can you elaborate a little more on who you are and how Natucate started?
Inspired by the lasting impact that conservation volunteering abroad had on him, Natucate founder Daniel Kaul felt compelled and determined to extend these opportunities onward. In 2014, Natucate was born, an organization modelled to serve as a matchmaker between reputable conservation NGOs around the world, and volunteers seeking once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to become engaged and expand their knowledge. Since then, Natucate continues to grow and expand, forging meaningful partnerships with organizations dedicated to environmental and species conservation globally and empowering a generation of budding conservationists.
2. What sets you and your business apart from its competitors?
What sets Natucate apart is our commitment to personalized service, deep expertise, and strict ethical guidelines. Our travel experts provide individualized attention, matching participants with the perfect volunteer, internship, or course opportunity. We offer comprehensive support before, during, and after each project, ensuring all needs are met. Our passion for conservation, travel, and education drives us to partner only with the most impactful and credible projects. This dedication to quality and exceptional customer service truly distinguishes Natucate in the field.
3. How do you encourage volunteers to stay engaged and continue contributing to social causes after their trip?
We encourage volunteers to stay engaged and continue contributing to social causes by igniting a lasting passion for conservation. Our aim is to transform their initial interest into a lifelong commitment to protecting the environment. We inspire volunteers to integrate conscious travel and environmental stewardship into their daily lives, fostering a mindset that prioritizes sustainable and responsible practices. By sharing their experiences and passion, volunteers can influence others, promoting positive change and replacing harmful travel habits with more ethical and sustainable alternatives. This ripple effect ensures that their impact extends far beyond their trip abroad.
4. Sustainable travel is a growing trend. What approach do you employ to engage with your guests or travellers on these matters?
At Natucate, we engage our guests in conscious travel by immersing them in experiences that showcase the beauty and fragility of our natural world. Through hands-on participation in conservation projects, travellers gain a firsthand understanding of the importance of preserving our planet. Our approach emphasizes experiential learning and the promotion of ethical partnerships, empowering travellers to make informed decisions that prioritize environmental conservation and the support of local communities. By cultivating a deeper understanding and appreciation for diverse ecosystems, we inspire our guests to become passionate advocates for conscious travel long after their journeys end.
