Mark Vaughan, People Director at Beds & Bars Ltd, announced the win of the group’s third platinum award from Investors in People, one of very few in the hospitality industry to have achieved this hat trick.

The BBG benchmark has surpassed the industry average as well as the IIP average benchmark. They received a 100% response rate from their teams all answering, ‘yes’, to the question: would you recommend Beds and Bars as a place to work?
Mark continues, ‘Coming fresh off a win for the Employee Wellbeing Award at this year’s NITA awards, this hat trick of platinum cements our continued commitment to always putting people first. BBG has a long standing history with IIP. The late Franca Knowles MBE reached out to be audited over 15 years ago to challenge in which areas we could improve our people strategy. IIP assed Beds and Bars, providing further direction on how to achieve excellence, and it is something we have never stepped back from.
Maintaining Platinum for 12 years showcases that we are a people-first business, and to maintain this throughout the last two years particularly has been of utmost importance. We continued to put our people first and supported our teams throughout, overcoming together what was a tough time for all.
Our LifeHouse initiative offered housing and food to anyone in our company who needed it, meaning during turbulent times, all of our teams felt safe and secure and that they always had a home.’
