Manchester, United Kingdom — 22-25 September 2009Coronavirus and WYSE Travel Confederation events
We are all following the developments of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Europe and of course our thoughts go out to all those who have tested positive and to all our members whose businesses are being affected by travel restrictions and cancellations.
At this stage, we are expecting to be present at ITB Berlin unless the German authorities decide not to proceed with the event. The Work Exchange Travel Market and IAPA Annual Conference (WETM-IAC) in Malta will also go ahead as planned at the end of March, although all Chinese delegates have already cancelled their attendance.
The health and safety of all our delegates is of utmost importance to us and we are working with all our venue partners to ensure that that everything is as safe as possible.
We are also monitoring all official messages from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in the UK, the Dutch Government, the German Government, UNWTO and the Maltese Government as to the advice on running or attending trade conferences. Should there be any changes to the advice then we will be in contact with all attendees as quickly as possible.
If you have any questions regarding the status of our events, please contact events@wysetc.org.
