Hispania, escuela de español acquires historic premises in Valencia

Jun 27, 2019

The current headquarters of Hispania, escuela de español is in a villa situated in Valencia’s university district, less than a 10-minute walk from the city centre. This villa is one of the aspects students appreciate the most during their stay. The school is part of a historic group of 19 independent villas (‘Los chalets de los periodistas’ – The journalists’ villas), which form one of the city’s most idyllic spots. ‘Los chalets de los periodistas’ are one of Valencia’s treasures and are protected buildings, in order to preserve their charm and history.

Hispania, escuela de español’s previous expansion took place in parallel classroom buildings situated just a couple of minutes from the main villa. Over the last few years, Hispania, escuela de español has also invested heavily in its student accommodation located in the same neighbourhood. The school now has almost 70 student rooms at its disposal, just a 10-minute walk from the school. Now, with this latest investment of € 2.2 million, possibly the highest in Spain for an independent Spanish school, Hispania, escuela de español is regrouping its classrooms after acquiring two of these villas. The villas have been joined and represent the largest construction within this complex, totalling approximately 1,000m2.

“It is not our objective to expand our 30 classrooms with this investment, but rather establish us in an emblematic area of Valencia and provide our students with unique spaces in which they can enjoy their experience with us. All students love Valencia, its climate and its light, and that’s why we want to offer larger common spaces like terraces, reading rooms and a cafeteria. We want to make sure that our students are comfortable and have the best stay possible during their time with us, not only in the classrooms, but also in the accommodation and in this unique villa. It is a privilege to study in one of the emblematic ‘Chalets de los periodistas’ and students are lucky to have this opportunity”, states Juan José Ruiz, co-owner of the school.

The new villa complex will be inaugurated during summer 2019.
