2018 Global Youth Travel Awards features two new categories

Jul 3, 2018

The 2018 Global Youth Travel Awards (GYTA) are now open and this year entrants have a chance to win in two new categories. The GYTAs recognise outstanding work in 10 nominated award categories and four consumer-voted categories. The two new nominated award categories are Best Social Space in a Hostel and Best Sustainable Tour Operator. The deadline to enter is 20 August 2018.

The GYTAs began at the World Youth Student and Educational Conference (WYSTC) 2011 in Barcelona with a focus on bringing to light the great experiences provided by members of WYSE Travel Confederation. The awards are now open to the entire youth and student travel market.

GYTA award winners are considered benchmarks for excellence within the fast growing and ever evolving youth travel sector. Last year, a record breaking number of award entries were received particularly in categories related to sustainability. Here is a look at the 2017 Global Youth Travel Award winners.

Winners revealed during WYSTC 2018

The 2018 GYTA winners will be announced during the World Youth and Student Travel Conference (WYSTC), which takes place 18-21 September in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The ceremony is planned for Friday, 21 September 2018 at the National Museum of Scotland. All GYTA entrants are invited to register to attend WYSTC 2018, which is the only B2B trading and educational conference specifically designed for the youth and student travel industry.
