The Summer Institute for the Gifted is a program of the National Society for the Gifted and Talented, a not-for-profit organisation and a subsidiary of our current Elite member AIFS. The mission is to provide the highest quality educational and social opportunities for academically gifted and talented students through programs designed to meet their abilities and needs. Through Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) programs, students experience the energy and excitement of campus life at prestigious schools and universities across America. SIG summer enrichment camps help students strengthen current skills and interests, explore new subject areas, and interact with other kids who love learning.

A leader in gifted education since 1984, the Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) provides academic summer and online programs for academically talented children ages 5-17. Through more than 30 years of experience, SIG has crafted a 3-week program that combines challenging academics with social, cultural, and recreational opportunities that enrich children’s natural talents and abilities, as well as nurture their social development. SIG brings the excitement of science, invention and technology to academically talented students through innovative STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) courses, as well as thought-provoking classes in Humanities and Visual/Performing Arts. This integration gives SIG students the tools to compete in a highly competitive global environment and encourages them to pursue their passions and explore new interests, having fun and making friends along the way.
