More than 500 travel professionals to arrive in Montreal, Canada for three days of trade and networking at WYSTC 2017

WYSE Travel Confederation and Destination Canada are partnering this year to host some of the world’s most important buyers and sellers of youth tourism and educational travel products and services at the World Youth and Student Travel Conference (WYSTC), the leading global trade event for the youth, student, and educational travel industry.

The annual event of WYSE Travel Confederation, WYSTC brings the top buying and selling organisations from across the globe and from all aspects of youth and student travel together in a different country each year.

WYSTC 2017 in Montreal, Canada is poised to attract more than 120 buyer delegates. WYSTC buyers are typically retail or wholesale organisations looking to renew acquaintances and source new product and services for popular youth and education sectors, such as internships, work & travel, international volunteer travel, au pair programmes, language travel programmes, activities and tours, international education programmes, and youth-tailored travel accommodation.

In addition to the buyer-seller business appointments that are central to WYSTC, educational workshops, seminars, and panel discussions for travel professionals are scheduled. This year’s programme features industry experts discussing a range of topics, including emerging destinations for work & travel to the rise of digital nomadism to Gen Z attitudes towards international education and youth-driven technology travel trends.

The World Youth and Student Travel Conference is complemented by the Global Youth Travel Awards (GYTA), a gala event where a series of unique awards formally recognising outstanding performers in fifteen fields of global youth travel are granted.

WYSTC 2017 will take place from 26 to 29 September 2017 at the Palais des congrès in Montreal. Youth, student and educational travel professionals are invited to register at www.wystc.org

The World Youth Student and Educational (WYSE) Travel Confederation is a global not-for-profit membership organisation dedicated to promoting and developing opportunities for the youth, student and educational travel industry.

Founded in 2006 and created from the merger of the Federation of International Youth Travel Organisations (FIYTO) and the International Student Travel Confederation (ISTC) – both formed after World War II to inspire young people through international travel and to help remove cultural barriers – the Confederation brings together 60 years of youth travel expertise.
Providing international travel experiences to over 30 million youth and students each year, WYSE Travel Confederation’s global community of over 600 members spans more than 120 countries from a diverse range of sectors.

From adventure tour operators to au pair agencies, cultural exchange programmes to language schools, hop-on-hop-off buses to student insurance and youth hostels to volunteer programmes, WYSE Travel Confederation is the world’s most powerful network of youth and student travel professionals, connecting key industry players with decision makers and government officials.

WYSE Travel Confederation is committed to understanding the ever-changing characteristics, motivations and needs of young travellers. By gathering, analysing and sharing important market intelligence with members, academics and government decision-makers, the unique fast-changing needs of the youth market is at the forefront of its activities as it seeks to accelerate the development of youth travel.
