Australia is set to have a strong presence at this year’s World Youth, Student and Educational (WYSE) Travel Confederation’s annual industry event, WYSTC, in Cape Town, 22 – 25 September.

The high volume of Australian delegates registered for the leading youth travel industry event have made the country the third most represented destination at this year’s occasion.

David Chapman, WYSE Travel Confederation’s Director General, said: “Our research demonstrates that Australia is the fourth most popular destination for young travellers and that it has witnessed a significant growth in the past decade.”

Australia is ranked as the number one destination that WYSTC 2015 buyers are looking to expand into and his year’s list of buyers include some of the industry’s biggest players such as; Dnata, Expedia, Flight Centre, Kilroy and STA Travel, to mention just a few.”

With WYSTC’s programme of networking and business appointments, we’re confident that our upcoming trade event will prove the ideal environment for Australian delegates to connect with new partners, and we are very excited to see the legacy of last year’s event in Dublin still going strong.”

WYSE Travel Confederation Head of Policy and Destination Development,  Jennifer Woodbridge will be attending WYSTC with a specific focus on supporting the growth of youth travel in the southern hemisphere.

Jennifer will be meeting with members from the southern hemisphere throughout WYSTC 2015 to explore the best ways WYSE Travel Confederation can help capitalise on regional opportunities over the coming years.

Anyone interested in making an appointment with Jennifer and help shape the future of youth travel in this fast-developing region can schedule a meeting with her during the dedicated business appointment sessions at WYSTC.

This year’s WYSTC event will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
