South African based African Heartland Journeys is the latest member to join WYSE Travel Confederation.
The organisation provides individual and group volunteering projects on the Wild Coast where volunteers work with rural schools to teach computer literacy or work with younger children in a teacher’s aide capacity.
For animal-based experiences, African Heartland Journeys offers a Pre Vet Project, where volunteers work with all three aspects of animals – wildlife, agricultural and domestic.
For groups the organisation offers community service projects to build playgrounds, classrooms, toilets and clinics.
