Ten of the UK’s top bloggers & YouTubers departed for Las Vegas last weekend!

WYSE Travel Confederation member, TrekAmerica, a national tour operator that specialises in small group adventures for 18-38 year olds to the Americas is kicking off the summer with a tour to remember – its first ever group blogger and YouTuber trip.

Ten hand-picked bloggers and YouTubers left the UK behind and headed for Las Vegas on Sunday for an adventure that is guaranteed to show them the real America. The exclusive Trekkers have been joined by a professional film crew who will be filming all the action live from the road.

Louise Hughes, head of marketing at TrekAmerica, explained: “This is the first trip of its kind for TrekAmerica and we couldn’t be more excited! We know that young international travellers are now heading online to research their next big trip.

The rise in popularity of YouTubers and bloggers with this generation and within the travel industry only confirms that as a company the next logical step was to target this active online audience. Our line up represents the best of this group; fun, adventurous young people who provide honest, accessible and candid information in a format that appeals to our passengers.”

Beginning and ending in Las Vegas, the #iTrekHere road trip visits a number of America’s most iconic destinations, with the bloggers and YouTubers exploring some of the most stunning national parks in the USA including Zion, Bryce, Arches, and of course the Grand Canyon.

The exclusive Trekkers include travel, beauty and lifestyle bloggers and YouTubers Lily Melrose, Steve BookeCandice Walsh,  Hannah Gale, Emma Blackery, Hannah Witton, Evan Edinger, Ed Rex, Corrie Swaffield and Tyson Mayr, an Australian travel addict who joined the trip fresh from a recent stint in the jungle on Australia’s ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!’

UK blogger, Hannah Gale, said before the trip: “I’m really excited to get to explore a part of the world I probably wouldn’t get to otherwise, plus I get to do it all with some like-minded online brains and I can’t wait to meet everyone and get exploring. It’s definitely going to be a once in a lifetime adventure I’ll never forget.’”

Throughout the road trip the group will be sharing their experiences on various social media channels using hashtags #iTrekHere and #TrekAmerica. At each new destination TrekAmerica will release a film and set a question on the #iTrekHere site and fans who answer correctly could win one of six prizes including souvenirs collected by the bloggers and Youtubers, and the grand prize of a place on the TrekAmerica tour, Westerner 2.
