Following a live online vote at the WYSE Work Abroad Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on Tuesday, 10 December, 2013, a new name for the Association has been announced.

WWA and WVTThe WYSE Work Abroad Association will now be known as the WYSE Work & Volunteer Abroad Association.

A new logo will be available and distributed before the end of the year, but in order to maintain flexibility member organisations are still be able to use the current WYSE Work Abroad logo.

The association today counts 102 members from 31 countries and we are confident that the change will enhance our ability to grow an united membership that is able to attract more volunteer travel-based organisations.

Our Association members know that both work abroad and volunteer experiences are essential in the cultural awareness and international education of students. A quality exchange programme can give young people greater knowledge, acceptance, and respect for other cultures, which is vital for the development of our future generation.
