Sector Associations WYSE Travel
Confederation members work through specialist sector associations to
provide a range of valuable services and products for young travellers.
Strong, specialist sector associations occupy a central position within
the Confederation. These sector associations:
International Au Pair Association (IAPA) Established 1994 IAPA is a global trade association for organisations engaged in sending and/or receiving au pairs and for organisations offering services to au pair and cultural exchange programmes. IAPA works to protect the rights of au pairs and host families by setting internationally-approved au pair programme guidelines. International Association for Student Insurance Services (IASIS) Established 1951 IASIS members distribute competitively priced insurance products tailored to meet the needs of young, independent travellers with limited budgets. Student Air Travel Association (SATA) Established 1969 SATA is a forum through which the world's leading student and youth travel organisations establish agreements with airlines to provide affordable and flexible air travel for young people. SATA tickets are accepted by more than 90 airlines. SATA also provides information on industry standards and regulations, and liaises with airlines and aviation authorities. WYSE Work Abroad Association (WYSE Work Abroad) Established 2006 In October 2006, the Global Work Experience Association (GWEA) and the International Association for Educational Work Exchange Programmes (IAEWEP) established the WYSE Work Abroad Association. The association's mission is to facilitate and increase international youth travel and exchange through the promotion of culturally oriented work exchange and work experience activities. Safe Travel Accommodation for Youth Association (STAY WYSE) Established 2007 STAY WYSE is a global forum and trade association for organisations involved in youth accommodation. STAY WYSE not only prepares cutting edge research on the importance of the youth accommodation sector; it also supports members’ ability to learn from each other by offering unparalleled trading, networking, and marketing opportunities. International Student Travel Confederation (ISTC) Established 1949 ISTC provides a forum for the world's leading student travel providers to define student travellers' needs and to develop products and services which address students' unique travel and international education ambitions.

Our origins
In 2006 the Federation of International Youth Travel Organisations (FIYTO) and the International Student Travel Confederation (ISTC) merged to create a united organisation to represent the international education, student and youth travel community.
